to the crann og website. We would like to introduce ourselves to you.
We are a small family business that offers space for a variety of courses, activities and just holidays, with lots of options to suit your personal needs. Crann og is situated 5 miles outside Gort in South-Galway, only 45 minutes drive from Shannon-airport.

Crann og is irish (gaelic) for young tree, crann meaning tree and og is young, symbolising new growth.
Crannog as one word means a manbuild island in a lake, a safe place for you and your tribe.
Crann og in Derrymore Drummin is a place surrounded by rolling hills, native woodlands, heaths and boglands, lakes and rivers. It offers a pure taste of healthy wildlife habitat, a place to relax and enjoy nature.

At Crann og we are working towards becoming more and more selfsufficient, it is a long way yet and so much to learn. We welcome people who want to experience the great outdoors, learning and sharing skills with each other to help us live in harmony with ourselves and nature.
